| Email Subject: I am Dreaming of a ....... |
Dear Friends, For years growing up in Ansley we would sing this old favorite Christmas song, "I am Dreaming of a White Christmas." Now as I get older, though the song is still fun to hear and remember why we would sing it (you know it was easier for Santa to get to our house on snow than brown grass mom and dad would say) but there is a lot more that I am dreaming of these days let me share some of those dreams/prayer requests with you this Christmas season: +That Christ followers would fall deeper in love with the Lord on a daily basis and it would be seen in our speech, character and thought life. +That each of us who call on the name of Christ would not fear rejection but live our faith out loud before a the World around us! +That we would love one another, as Christ has loved us. Realizing that were all imperfect, on our way to glory and having the same patience, gentleness and grace with all those He puts us around each day He has had with us. +That we would be encouragers and not draining people to be around no matter the circumstances or people we come in contact with for it is the Lord Christ we serve and represent! +That we would be as concerned about taking the hope of the gospel to a lost and dying world as we are with our hobbies we give so much time to. +That we would own, deep within our heart, the truth from 1 Cor. 6 and 10, "That the Glory of Christ is more important than our selfish desires!" Friends, as we celebrate Christmas 2009 and enter a fresh new year, join me in re committing ourselves to falling deeper in love with Christ and the people He puts us around! May we be found "Faithful to the task He has set before us and Obedient to the call of God upon each of our lives." He is sure worth that my friends! Have a Blessed Christmas my friends, Pastor Doug |
