Peg Johnston – Women’s Discipleship

Family and Work Life: Peg grew up on a farm outside of Holdrege, number five of six children. After high school she studied at UNK and UNL to become a registered dietitian. She married Don in 1982 and God blessed them with two sons and a daughter; His blessings have continued with six grandchildren. She worked in health care for about thirteen years, was a stay-at-home mom for thirteen years, and retired after spending sixteen years teaching nutrition at UNK. She has been the director of women’s discipleship at Cornerstone since August of 2021.

Her testimony: As a child Peg went to church camp every summer and “rededicated” her life to Christ every year but, in reality, was only making resolutions to be more obedient to her parents, nicer to her siblings, etc.. It was her junior year in high school when she truly understood the Gospel message and the need to submit to Christ and allow Him to live through her.
